The goal of the Biology Concept Inventory project, driven in large measure by Kathy Garvin Doxas, was to consider the conceptual core of biology, and to reveal whether students (and educators) are "getting it". A key aspect of the project was the development of EdsTools by Ed Svirsky and Isidoros Doxas, a (now inactive) system that enabled us to collect and analyze student responses to a range of questions. At the end of the day, we hope to drive the construction of more engaging and effective courses and curricula. |
